Old medicines pile up in cupboards more often than people realise, and binning or flushing them isn’t safe for you, your household, or the environment. We take back unwanted and expired medicines for free, no explanation needed. Contact us if you’re not sure what you can bring in.
Why Bins and Sinks Aren’t the Answer
Medicines thrown in household waste can leak into landfill, and flushing them sends active ingredients into the water system where standard treatment doesn’t fully remove them. Neither option is as harmless as it might seem.
What We Accept
Tablets, capsules, liquids, creams, inhalers, and most other medicine forms can be returned to us, whether they’re out of date, no longer needed, or simply left over after a course finished early.
Where Your Returned Medicines Go
Once handed in, medicines are collected and destroyed through a licensed clinical waste process, separate from general rubbish, so nothing ends up back in the environment or in the wrong hands.
Sharps and Other Special Items
Used needles, lancets, and other sharps need their own dedicated disposal route rather than going in with general medicines. Ask us about arranging a sharps bin if you regularly use injectable medication.
